Bagh Van Lodge

Taj and CC Africa's Bagh Van Lodge, just 5 minutes from the entrance of the Pench Tiger Reserve at Turia and 15 minutes from the turn-off on NH7 at Khawasa (Madhya Pradesh, India). It is a 12 room Lodge spread over 11 acres, which is 92 kilometres north from the city of Nagpur and en route to Kanha National Park (180 km).

Pench Tiger Reserve is India's 19th Project Tiger Park and is considered one of the countries finest new tiger reserves spread over 700 square kilometres and consisting of primarily teak forest. The population of game is also very high - it is considered to be the park with the highest density of prey ( Spotted Deer, Wild Boar, Sambar, Blue Bull and the Indian Bison). It is also home to a very healthy population of Tigers, Leopards, Wild Dogs, Jackal amongst other smaller predators. The bird list has over 280 species.

• In warmer weather, the Machan will be cooled by traditional Khus screens through which water is dripped

• Rates are per person per night sharing in Indian Rupees (includes accommodation all meals, local drinks, park fees and game drive activities)

• No single supplement is charged for the first two single rooms per booking, any additional single rooms per booking will be levied with a 50% supplement per person

• Lodges close 01 July to 30 September annually (due to park closure)
