The Hornbill Camp
The Hornbill
Camp is located at Thattekad which is just 60 kms North of
Ernakulam (Kerala, In dia) and 40 kms from Cochin
International Airport.
The camp is
designed to give guests Eco-Adventure experience and to
discover the joys of birding in a lowland tropical forest.
With over 275 species in a small area, most of them
endemics, Thattekkad offers a good view into the world of
birding in Kerala.
Here guests can enjoy own private jungle
and the spectacular view of the river Periyar and along its banks,
birds flock in their thousands. It is recommend that trips are planned
during the months of October to March.
Accommodation
Beds, en-suite attached European style closet, shower and
running water and Meals prepared with home-grown
vegetables.
Other
activities here comprise Kayaking expeditions trips, short
walks in the plantations and village visits.
